Finished - The Scottish Band

I promised myself that, if nothing else, joining this group would persuade me to finish this.  And here it is!  I chose it because I fell in love with the delightfully bizarre lettering fenced in by such a solid, orderly border.

This was a full kit with AVAS silks.  It's my second sampler.  And it's been languishing in a scroll frame for longer than I care to remember, waiting for the last few Algerian Eyes and the initials (which I customized, like a good Scottish girl, to my own and my parents').

WooHoo!

What a wonderful sampler! The border reminds me a bit of the one on the Margaret Gibson sampler. Margaret was another Scottish lass.
