Margret Gatis

It's been a fun week of simple cross stitch on Margret Gatis, mostly over two threads. Now I'm back to satin stitch, but these next three band of satin stitch are pretty easy also.  Unfortunately, I may not get a lot of time to work on it until the middle of next week.

Gorgeous! Love Love Love the colors.

I know it is not our norm to work over 3 threads, but that's how most 17th century samplers were worked. Most of my Mexican samplers are worked over 4 threads.

She is so beautiful, every post I am blown away. Had to pay a customs charge today so I am hoping that my chart is in this order

I have a couple of Mexican samplers myself and both have over 3 sections. Working over 3 is tedious, but I don't mind it, except for those intricate satin stitch bands. That just hurts my brain. LOL
