Lady and the Castle

Hello everyone,

I managed to finish the leaves on the first tree this past weekend and start on the hill for the castle:

There is still a long way to go:

When I scanned the piece this morning, I didn't notice that it was right side up. Here's a look at the back for anyone interested:

Next weekend is looking very busy, so I may not get much time to stitch. My hope, however, is that much of the castle will go fairly quickly because of the straight lines of color. (Well, maybe not the brickwork of the foundation which looks just like that of the fishpond.)

It is a joy to check the blogs every day and to see the progress everyone is making.  Thank you again Nicola (and Jo!) for sharing this birthday gift with all of us.

Your sampler is coming along beautifully. This is such a pretty sampler and one I may try in the future. I am very impressed.....the back of your needlework looks as neat as the front...that is an accomplishment!

Love all the colors in the tree! And it's neat to see the back. Maybe we can start a trend, to show a back once in a while.
