The good news is...

I've managed to stumble into all the free time I've ever dreamed of  spending on needlework for the next several weeks

The bad news, unfortunately, is that I broke my ankle Monday afternoon - took an ungraceful flying leap over an electrical cord while clearing the way for the new washer to be delivered.

Good thing I enjoy stitching and knitting, since I won't be doing much of anything else for awhile...

Oh bless, breaking an ankle is no fun but as you say there is an up side.

I hope your ankle mends quickly but in the meantime look forward to seeing all your progress.

Oh Kate, if it weren't for bad luck you know. I guess at least you don't need your foot or ankle to stitch! Hang in there, my friend.

Every cloud has a silver lining Kate - thank goodness it won't stop you sewing. But poor you, a broken ankle is no fun. We shall look forward to seeing amazing progress whilst you recover.

Oh dear, I hope you feel better soon.

Good thing it wasn't something else broken. Enjoy your stitching.

You and me both!

I just broke mine (2nd time) three weeks ago...

(tore a ligament and ripped off a piece of bone...)

I will say, I am getting LOTS of wips finished though!

hope you feel better soon.

May lots of stitching be completed while the ankle heals... every thing has a positive side to it.

Doctor's orders:
l. Just sit back with your foot propped up.

2. Pain meds when needed.

3. Continue stitching.

4. No FROGS ALLOWED DURING THIS TIME of HEALING!!!!!!!

Hopefully you'll feel better real soon cause as they say, time flies when you're having fun!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

The upside of your fall is IT WASN'T YOUR STITCHING HAND! Take your meds before the pain starts and stitch, stitch, stitch!

So sorry to hear about your injury. Hoping you're over the worst of the discomfort by now and have plenty of stitching time. We're expecting to see a lot of stitchery getting done! :-)

Every cloud has a silver lining. Sorry you broke your ankle, but jealous you get lots of stitching time. Take care and remember to rest.
