Bird in Bough

I wanted a small project to work on over the Labor Day weekend so I started Bird in Bough. I love the folk art look of the bird.

This is so charming. Do we have a name for the bird?

Thanks for the kind comments. I love birds and collect hand carved birds and folk art bird trees so I guess that is why I was so attracted to this pattern. The info on the pattern says that the bird is possibly a kingfisher so I call him King.

You are stitching this wonderful bird and quickly, I might add.
