Jean Scrimgeowr Update

Jean Scrimgeowr continues to enchant me.
There are a lot of asymmetrical aspects to this piece (thank you, CarolM, for warning me!) that require focus and diligent counting.

All three flowers on the first band are different and the spacing between them is different too, even though, at first glance, it is not apparent.

So beautiful, Tommye! They look symmetrical to me :)

I love the fact that they are *not* perfectly symmetrical - they are perfectly imperfect!

Jean is looking just lovely, Tommye. One of the things that draws me time and again to reproduction samplers is the little imperfections. I can just see these young girls working so hard, and that makes them really special. You are so right...it does mean careful counting...:)Happy Stitching!

Your stitching is so beautiful! I couldn't hold out any longer and ordered this from Marsha the other day. Love seeing your process on this sampler. I hope I remember your notes about the asymmetry by the time I get around to stitching mine. Love your work!
