Hi Bethany,
This sampler only calls for 4 colors - red, gold, blue and green. Red is used very sparingly.

I hadn't noticed the small number of colours used. It is so interesting to look at how such a small number of colours can be used so creatively.

Nupar your work is outstanding! I just finished touring your site "song of a needle." Your band samplers took my breathe away! I have been studying all the band samplers in order to learn and get the courage to start one myself. Nicola's and Barb Hudson's band samplers plus all the other beautiful bands that have been stitched have inspired me. So I am heading back to the S/L site to search and make a choice.

Hi Debbie,
I am so glad that you are inspired by my blog and my entries here. If you are looking to start a band sampler and you like Ann Scutt then I would suggest that you start with it - don't worry about the "advanced" labeling on the website... this is a very easy and logical sampler to stitch... it also gives you a very nice introduction to various ways of creating interest.

I never realised how beautiful Ann is until you started to post about her. I have the chart and she is now on my to stitch list - mind you I will never be ale to stitch everything on it in my lifetime :o))

PS - Nupur I have followed your example of stitching two samplers side by side on a frame and found that it works very well. Thank you my friend.

Thank you Nupur for advise. I think I will order the chart. I will spend a little time studying it first. As Nicola says great bedtime reading!
