It has been a LONG time since I posted anything, sorry! I have been busy trying to get things done, let me fill you in.....
In early June I was offered a house that a dear friend of 40 plus years owned, this is a 1800's one room school house that was turned into a home in the early 1940's. The house is a half a mile from where we live now, with my son and daughter in law and two of the most wonderful grand babies in the world! Nice thing is when the leaves are off the trees half the year we can see each others home across the valley. Anyways, long story short we close on Sept 30th and the real work begins. I will be starting a blog with progress and pictures soon. I will post that address as soon as I have the blog up and running . I have not been posting updates on my cross stitch because by the time I do what I have too I am so beat some times I do not have energy to stitch..bad! I have finished Ann Scutt c 1675 and can now get back to the Manifesto. I joined the stitch along because I needed the break from nothing but little X's and Ann gave me the break I needed. I really enjoy pieces that have a wide variety of stitches such as Ann does. So... here is the picture and will post updates but must warn you that with a three year project starting in a month, I will likely stitch in my spare moments and read every ones posts on the Scarlet Letter years. Hope you like what I have stitched....Bob

Bird or Bat

Had a little excitement 2 nights ago when I had what I thought was a bird in my house. I was chasing him trying to catch him mid flight with my bare hands because I didn't want my cats to harm him. It wasn't until he landed on my kitchen cabinet that I realized what he actually was. A BAT! I couldn't get anyone to help me get him out, including the police. My son went to his room and shut the door. My son is 22 and coincidently is studying to be a police officer. Kind of funny when you think about it.

After a hair raising 40 minutes I got the bat out on my own. But wait, it gets better. I just removed my second bat.

The lesson learned is this. If you ever get a bird in your house, don't try to catch it bare handed until you know for a fact that it truly is a bird. Lol
